West Ealing Neighbours abundance project

Blackberries are currently in season and there's no time like the present to pick a few for eating raw or making jam.

Diane Gill from West Ealing Neighbours abundance project organised a Picking Party this week at Bitterns Field, Brent River Park, W7. 

She says it was a great sucess:

'' A big thanks to everyone that turned up tonight for the blackberry picking party.  Whilst I have yet to weight them as they are now in 3 separate locations we probably picked around 10kg of blackberries.  We had to stop as we ran out of containers!''

Diane is planning to hold more 'Picking Parties' in the future - dates to be arranged.
