With the Ealing Half Marathon now a distant memory (but you can apply for early bird offer for 2014 here) why not consider another local run?

The Perivale 5 is Ealing's longest established road race, dating back to 1998.

Organised by Ealing Southall & Middlesex AC, which is based at Perivale Park, the 5 mile race has grown steadily in its 16 year history, and looks set for yet another record turnout this year.

It takes place on Sunday 1st December at 10am, followed at 11:15am by a 2 kilometre Fun Run for Under 15's.

The event welcomes runners of all abilities; well over a third of those who took part last year did not belong to a running club.

Five miles is a manageable distance for the less experienced runner, but is also a good stepping stone for anyone building up to a marathon next year.
