On Sunday 28th June, thousands of residents from Pitshanger and the surrounding areas will join together for a double celebration as they enjoy the 10th annual Party in the Park and the centenary of Pitshanger Lane.

Promising a day full of entertainment, the spectacular summer event will be big fun for everyone - whatever the weather.

Organised entirely by volunteers from the Pitshanger Community Association (PCA), the event could not take place without generous support from its main sponsor, estate agents Northfields.

Held in Pitshanger Park, Meadvale Road, Ealing W5 from 1-9pm, entry is by a £2 programme from which a donation will be made to the Meadow House Hospice in the grounds of Ealing Hospital.

It will be opened by Ealing Mayor, Councillor Barbara Yerolemou and local MP Steve Pound, who will also be pelted with wet sponges later in the day on the ‘Pound, Pound for a Pound’ stall!

Regular attractions include the main stage and bar featuring live music and dance plus the finals of the ‘Pitshanger Popstar’ singing competition. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a mouth watering variety of food and drink at the Gastrodome.

The Craft Village offers a huge array of tempting goods and there are kids’ activities galore including Peter’s Puppets and rides on a beautiful vintage carousel sponsored by the traders in Pitshanger Lane.

There will also be sports and football competitions, a barbeque and the chance to meet local police, fire and ambulance crews.

Back due to popular demand, Village Vet will also be including the hilarious sausage race in the dog show again this year.

Attractions also include a ride for toddlers plus a huge range of activities and races on the day organised for families by Fit For Sport.

Looking forward to the day, event sponsor and Managing Director of Northfields, Richard Palfreeman, said, “Happy 100th birthday Pitshanger Lane! It gives us great pleasure to be sponsoring this fantastic event for the second year running, especially on the centenary of Pitshanger Lane. Party in the Park just keeps getting bigger and better with each year and we are delighted to be able to support the community that has welcomed Northfields in during these past twelve months since opening.”
