The Old Priorians started 2014 with a bang on Saturday, continuing their league campaign with a 74-7 victory over UCS Old Boys.

Moved away from their favoured pitch due to all the rain, the OPs didn't let the smaller pitch inhibit their attacking intentions.

Following some early pressure in the UCSOB half, it was David Wilkie who burst through two tackles to score an impressive try to open the scoring.

To their credit, the opposition forwards were impressive at the set piece and continually put the OPs under pressure. They exerted some pressure in the OP 22 before a knock on allowed the OPs to run the ball from deep, Jack Dever making the initial break then feeding winger Edd Conway to run the remaining distance to the line.

The OPs eased into one of their most clinical performances yet, creating numerous gaps with clever back play for Dever, Oddi and Majstorovic to score further tries before half time.

The second half continued in similar fashion, the OPs weathering periods of UCSOB pressure before breaking long distances to score. Majstorovic, Wilkie and Conway each finished the day with two tries whilst Oddi gained another hat trick. Late in the second half the game was lit up by two outstanding individual tries by Stefan Rowell and then James Booth, both running from deep and attacking the outside channel to race 80m for the try.

James Booth continued to gain points with 7 successful conversions. With Twickenham failing to get a bonus point for the first time this season, the OPs gained ground on their rivals whilst still have two games in hand.
