As part of the Open House London weekend, Ealing Common Society is holding its annual guided tour of the Common this Saturday, September 19th.

It starts at 2.00pm from the small common at the corner of Inglis Rd and Gunnersbury Avenue (by the train sculpture close to the railway bridge). Highlights of the Common, its history and the buildings around it will be covered during the walk, which lasts walk for about an hour, ending at All Saints Church in Elm Grove, where tea and refreshments will be waiting.

Over 50 people from as far afield as Tunbridge Wells  enjoyed last year’s tour of Ealing Common and its surrounding buildings.

Ealing Common Society was founded in 1990 to ‘preserve and enhance’ the Common. Membership is open to anyone and costs only £2 a year.

The walk is free, and everyone is welcome.

Light rain won’t put it off (thunderstorms might).
