New exhibition from OPEN Ealing
This week OPEN Ealing presents an exhibition of art which examines life in the office and corporate environment. Curated by local artist Martin Lau, the show opens this coming Thursday, 23rd July, at the Welshore Community Hub, 99 West Ealing Broadway. Using the media of photography, sculptural installation and video, the works in this exhibition range from pieces that involve transforming financial data and the by-products of the bureaucratic process into physical form, to surreal, sometimes humorous observations of life at the corporation, and to meditations upon the human experience of existing within the machine that is the workplace. OPEN Ealing aims to introduce a refreshing cultural space and exciting arts programmes to the community by bringing artists, performers, art groups and residents together, promoting creativity and creating new opportunities. In its gallery spaces it strives to present the best of contemporary art by both emerging and established artists to West London and beyond.
