Alex Hitchcock is a London-born saxophonist and composer. As well as leading his own projects at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, The Vortex, and The Royal Albert Hall, he plays as a sideman in various other bands including Resolution 88 and the Peter Whittingham Award-winning Patchwork Jazz Orchestra.

Now he is coming to OPEN Ealing and is performing at the Orchard Cafe with pianist Will Barry.

They share a musical history that goes back over ten years, including as contemporaries at the Royal Academy of Music. Between them, they have played as sidemen with many legendary figures in Jazz including Jasper Hoiby, Laurence Cottle, Soweto Kinch, Perico Sambeat, and Clark Tracey. In their duo, they play original compositions as well as other repertoire ranging from Hermeto Pascoal to Lennie Tristan.

Links to their music are via OPEN's website where you can also reserve your seat. Booking strongly recommended as box office is already open.
