There is something for everyone at OPEN this week.

On Saturday evening Ms Viv du Bois and Tom Collins Jnr are a perfect segue between the music of yesteryear and the country folk music performed by Ciarán Dwyer, singer-songwriter from Kildare whose moniker “Our Hero From Horse Country” may be tongue in cheek but his unique style of storytelling draws the audience in and whisks them straight into the action. Best to reserve a place to be assured of a seat. Discounts are available for groups of four or more.

Open Ealing are branching out with four brand new short courses in July. Corinne Scurr leads a 3-week pottery course using the Japanese Nerikome technique. Starting on Saturday 8 July 2-4pm the course is suitable for anyone who is seven or older.

On Tuesday Helen Trevisiol leads a course to inspire and develop ideas and creative skills through the medium of fashion illustration. They are weaving with paper and recycled materials on Thursday afternoons. Aruna Reddy is a tapestry artist and textile weaver and will be showing how to create baskets out of paper and other useful objet d'art over the next 3 weeks. Places on this course are limited to 10 so early booking is advised.

Nick Pearson resumes his art history lectures on Monday 10 July looking at Camille Pissarro: Impressionist and father of modern art.

The 8<14 Club@OPEN kicks off with a stop motion animation workshop on Saturday 8 July 10am-12pm.

Reserve your place online, or email info@openealing.com for further details.
