Saints Complete The Great Escape

On Saturday (7th March) the Old Priorian’s Saints team (2nd XV) avoided the great escape after a third consecutive win.

Sitting bottom of the table with three games to go only three weeks ago the squad were aware that only three wins in three weeks would assure their safety in the league.

A hard fought battle against Ruislip resulted in a 29-26 win at home, followed by a demolition of Grasshoppers 51-0 away in Osterley with a battling 29-16 home win against London Cornish completing a hat-trick of wins on Saturday. The team finished the league in 7th place (out of 9) in Middlesex Merit League Table 1 assuring the club a place in the league next season.  

Old Priorians Twisters (1st team) lost 65-17 at home to top of the table Colchester in London North 1 and will be looking to regroup when they take on bottom side Woodford away on the 21st March.
