COMEDY returns to the No5 Club at the Drayton on Friday October 10 with a double bill featuring two big stars of the future in Ed Gamble and Lucy Beaumont.

This is a great time to see rising star BEAUMONT,  fresh from a sell-out run at this year’s Edinburgh fringe where she performed her first solo show and also won the Best Newcomer Award following her success last year in winning The BBC New Comedy Award.

Beaumont appeared in series 2 of Live At The Electric on BBC Three and her radio credits include The Unbelievable Truth, Dilemma, History Retweeted, and The Magical Faraway Tree directed by Johnny Vegas (all BBC Radio 4), as well as The Land of Green Ginger, Baby bird (Both Radio 3) and Crush, on Radio 4 which received a Silver Sony Radio Award. She is currently developing a new show for BBC radio.

Award-winning ED GAMBLE is a stand-up, writer and actor currently appearing in Almost Royal on E4, a new spoof reality series in which he plays Georgie Carlton, 50th in line to the throne.  The show enjoyed a successful run in the states on BBC America.

Gamble spent five years as co-writer and host of the iTunes topping and Chortle Award nominated Peacock and Gamble Podcast and has also has supported Greg Davies, Russell Kane and Chris Addison on tour.

He has appeared on Russell Howard's Good News, both solo  and as part of Peacock and Gamble and has performed on Dave’s One Night Stand, Virtually Famous and Sweat the Small Stuff. Gamble appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe this year with his debut solo show, Gambletron 5000.
