The line-up for the reduced Ealing Jazz festival has been announced with tickets now on sale.

The festival will now take place over two days on Saturday, 23 and Sunday, 24 July. The jazz festival forms part of the Ealing Summer Festivals programme organised by Ealing Council.

One of the pioneers of jazz-funk Roy Ayers will be making his debut as headliner on the festival’s main stage on Saturday, 23 July. There will also be performances from Ealing jazz favourites the Vasilis Xenopoulos Quintet and K.O.G and the Zongo Brigade.

Sunday, 24 July boasts a spectacular line up of jazz musicians including MOBO award winning Saxophonist YolanDa Brown, headlining the main stage. She will be joined by Keith Waithe and the Macussi Players and the highly buzzed newcomer Nerija.

Gates open at midday with performances starting at 12.30pm giving festival goers two jam packed days of musical entertainment.

Cllr Bassam Mahfouz, cabinet member for transport, environment and leisure, said: “This year’s Ealing Jazz Festival is set to be one of the most exciting to date. By focussing on two fuller days, the festival has been carefully programmed to include both world renowned jazz acts that will perform in Ealing for the first time, while tipping our hats to festival favourites who have appeared at the festival for many years. The jazz festival is a great day out for residents and a much anticipated event on jazz lovers’ calendar.”

This year’s line-up has been specially programmed by some of London’s most experienced jazz bookers including Global Local and The Jazz Umbrella in collaboration with The Event Umbrella.

Advance tickets are on sale at ealingsummerfestivals.com and are £5.50 per day and £11 per weekend plus delivery fees. Tickets on the door are £7 per day or £12 for the weekend.
