Hanwell Community Centre will open its doors for a Fun Day for the whole family.

The centre offers an impressive array of sports, arts and social activities to the community, a selection of which will be showcased on the day. Food stalls and performances from local bands will also cap off a day full of fun.

Once a Victorian school, Hanwell Community Centre has a fascinating history and in 1896 became the home to a six year old Charlie Chaplin. Those interested will have the opportunity to tour this unique building.

Residents looking for a new hobby, activity or sports group to get involved in will be able to sign up on the day.

Councillor Patricia Walker, cabinet member for culture, leisure and customer services, said ‘’Hanwell Community Centre is a unique and iconic landmark that has an important place in our borough’s history. The centre offers facilities that are second to none, and it is even home to a boxing ring and martial arts studio with speciality flooring.

If you are looking for something fun for the whole family come down to the centre this Saturday, you might even find yourself a part of a new sports team or craft group.’’

The Fun Day will run from 11am to 4pm. Hanwell Community Centre is located on Westcott Crescent, Hanwell, W7 1PD.

The centre also is available for venue hire for birthday parties, conferences, religious celebrations, pre-wedding parties and more. Find out more: www.hanwellcc.co.uk
