The Rave is On in Hanwell

Iconic Community Centre is to host all day music event

Hanwell Community Centre will be throbbing to the sounds of the ‘90s at Easter with the first Hanwell Fest. 

On Easter Sunday (1st April) the iconic building, which is used to playing host to all sorts of community events will be transformed between 3pm - 11pm with DJs , live bands playing ‘old school’ house and garage.  

Famous names including Anglie “"I’m Gonna Get You Baby" Brown, DJ SLIPMATT and MC Chalkie White will be entertaining the crowds at this over 25s event.

The organiser is Adam Smith who told me “As a kid i grew up playing in the fields and i attended 'Summer Club' in the 6 weeks Holidays. My Mum Pauline Smith was a big part of the Community Centre many years ago.  She and a few others ran "Holidays In Hanwell".  For me, all these years later to now be doing an event in this iconic building is a dream. Bringing what i love doing to Hanwell is something i never thought would be possible.”

Two of the rooms will be given over to the music with food and drink also available.

Adam says the response for this event has been “crazy” and that he hopes it’ll be the first of many. The first two ‘waves’ tickets have been snapped up but there are still £30 tickets available,

What to wear?  Leggings? Pedal pushers? Neon and sportswear? 

Ooh combat trousers and mesh top….. that’s the one.
