Lucy Prebble's ENRON, an exhilarating drama of corporate greed, is played out at The Questors Theatre in Ealing from 20-27 April.

Based on real life events, the play exposes with verve and humour the greed and hubris that caused the fall of one of the most successful companies on the planet. Enron has since become a well-known example of willful corporate fraud and corruption.

In just 15 years, Enron grew from nowhere to be America's seventh largest company, employing 21,000 staff in more than 40 countries. But the firm's success turned out to have involved an elaborate scam. Enron lied about its profits and was accused of a range of shady dealings, including concealing debts so they didn't show up in the company's accounts.

As the depth of the deception unfolded, investors and creditors retreated, forcing the firm into Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Many executives at Enron were indicted for a variety of charges and were later sentenced to prison.

Using dynamic theatrical devices including multimedia, puppetry, masks, song and movement, ENRON delivers a high-energy evening of stunning theatre. Telling one of the most infamous scandal stories in financial history by mixing classical tragedy with savage comedy, it reviews the tumultuous 1990s and casts new light on the financial situation we find ourselves in today.

"An era-defining, must-see, theatrical event" The Sunday Telegraph

"Inventive and funny" The Daily Telegraph

"An exhilarating mix of political satire, modern morality and multimedia spectacle" The Guardian

"A scalpel-sharp play; exhilarating" Financial Times
