Comedy Downstairs at the Drayton returns Friday September 10 with jaw-dropping magic and rapid fire gags from brilliant headliner Pete Firman plus the award-winning Inda Manocha and special guests.

Firman first burst onto our television screens as cheeky Northerner 'Tufty' in FIVE's hit show 'Monkey Magic' and has since traveled the world with his own brand of anarchic magic.

Firman most recently starred in BBC1’s primetime magic show Don’t Miss A Trick and appeared on Derren Brown’s 3D Magic Spectacular on Channel 4. He  also appeared in Sky One's The Secret World Of Magic and amazed viewers with his ability to perform disgusting tricks with animals, cigarettes and big spiky things in Channel 4's Dirty Tricks.

He is recognized as the U.K’s leading comedian/magician and television appearances include BBC2’s The Culture Show, ITV1’s Saturday Live Again! with Ben Elton, helping Justin Lee Collins become a conjuror on Channel 4’s The Convention Crasher and also performing alongside Rihanna in ITV1’s For One Night Only

As well as his sleight of hand skills, Pete is also in demand as a television presenter, fronting the game shows Stake Out and Wait For It…! for BBC1.

THE PRESS ON PETE FIRMAN:

“Firman is a delight,” The Independent.

‘The audience is caught between guffawing laughter and amazed gasps,” The Guardian.

“See it to believe it,” The List.

Inder Manocha has performed stand-up comedy all over the world since 2000 and in 2004 he won the EMMA Award (Ethnic Multicultural Media Award) for Best Comedy/Comedian, beating Meera Syal, Lenny Henry and Three Non-Blondes.

As an actor, Inder features in the film ‘The Blue Tower’, which won the Best UK Feature at the 2008 Raindance Film Festival and also appeared in Madonna’s directorial debut ‘Filth and Wisdom’, in which he plays one of the lead characters, as well as the BBC3 sitcom ‘Pulling’.

THE PRESS ON INDA MANOCHA

‘Perfectly captures Britain’s infatuation with ethnic integration. Elaborate and engaging, conjuring up a belly full of laughs with sharp-shooting cultural observations”   Three Weeks
