From West Ealing To Berlin

Mencap based in West Ealing will be celebrating their second anniversary this weekend with an exhibition from local artist Daniel Haskett.

The main day for the public at the Show Room on Leeland Road is on Saturday 6th from 10 -18.00 when it is free to enter, and there will be two live 45 minute streaming sessions when Daniel will be demonstrating, from Berlin, how he can"create" images using a computer tablet.

The prints on display will be a combination of digital and screen prints. Supported by the computer company Acer, there will also be a digital drawing competition to win prizes.

Daniel went to Twyford School then onto Chelsea for a foundation year before moving to Bristol where he completed a BA in illustration. He also attained an MA in Stockholm before settling in Berlin, where he has lived for the last 8 years.

Prints will be for sale with a percentage going to Mencap and they will stay in the shop for a least a week if people can't make this Saturday.
