A book sale in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young will take place on Saturday May 15th outside Munson's coffee shop on St Mary's Road, Ealing W5.

The sale is in in memory of Ealing schoolboy Tom Clabburn, who died of an undiagnosed heart problem, in October 2007, aged 14.

Tom was a pupil at Drayton Manor High School, played football for Hanwell and was a member of Questor's Theatre.   His family, who live in Elers Road, and his friends have raised more than £30,000 for the charity since Tom's death.

CRY raises awareness of conditions that can lead to sudden unexpected death and estimates that 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die each week from undiagnosed heart conditions.

The book sale will feature brand new books as well as nearly new and second-hand.

Tom's mum, Claire Prosser said:

" We are very grateful for the continuing support of the local community, in this case Munson's for allowing us to have the sale outside.  There will be plenty of new books so it's well worth coming along to grab a bargain and raise money for a good cause at the same time."
