'Comedies'

January 2014 Programme
We present audience suggestions for a distinct variety of funny films. Some scenes are slapstick and have physical pratfalls; some are defined through the delivery of dialogue. Expert examples of set-pieces, timing and chemistry heighten humour veering from broad and bawdy to cerebral and contemplative. Featuring some famous faces, bodies and minds behind comedy greatness, this series should guarantee many laughs.

This satire from Ealing Studios keeps with the spirit of their comedies, featuring a small individual up against the status quo. From the director of ‘The Ladykillers’ and ‘Whisky Galore’.
