Organisers say the opening night of this year's Ealing Beer festival (Wednesday 3rd July) was the busiest yet and, with a warm few days in store, they're expecting it to be more popular than ever.

The drinking fest in Walpole Park is the second biggest in London (after Olympia) and is now attracting people from all over the country - and world.

Roy Tunstall from West Middlesex CAMRA said:

'' The beer tent has more room this year - last year we had to make space for the Olympic torch ceremony.

''We seem to have lots more tickers here (beer experts who try and tick off all the ales on the programme) but there's also all sorts of other people enjoying a beer or two and sampling lots of new ones in this lovely mud-free park.''
