Borough of Ealing Art Trail is Back
'Biggest, most immersive event' taking place over next two weekends

The Borough of Ealing Art Trail (BEAT) is set for a return after a long absence over the next two weekends.
Taking place on 11–12 and 18–19 September, the organisers promise that this year’s events will be bigger, bolder and more immersive than ever.
For two consecutive weekends artists will open their homes and studios to show their art to the public, allowing a complete and intimate view of their work and providing an opportunity to buy affordable art directly from the artists.
The event is free for visitors who can meet the artists, gain an insight into their personal, creative workspace and have informed conversations with the artists themselves.
BEAT 2021 will have over 200 participating artists exhibiting their work in 63 venues across the Borough. The art trail includes artists working in a broad range of media, including, but not limited to, painting, print, textiles, sculpture, glass, collage, mosaics, metal work, photography, digital arts, ceramics, jewellery and wood carving.
There will be a choice of digital and printed maps, which enable visitors to set up their personal Art Trail and visit their artists of interest.
BEAT’s Chair, Alex Ebdon, says, "This year's BEAT promises to be the best one yet, with a fantastic mix of art from a diverse set of local artists. We're delighted to be back after lockdown, to bring a fresh experience of creativity to the Borough of Ealing."
BEAT is a not-for-profit organisation run by a committee of volunteers. In September 2015 a number of like-minded artists from several local Ealing-based art groups met to form the origins of BEAT. The aim was to create a local platform for local artists to showcase their work to the public through the medium of an annual Art Trail. In 2016 the first BEAT event was held with over 150 participating artists and 54 exhibiting venues across the Borough.
Anyone living, working or studying in the Borough of Ealing may apply to join BEAT. Participation in the open studios event is non-selective and is an inclusive organisation, bringing together artists from diverse cultural, professional and ability backgrounds.
