BEAT To Hold Silent Auction After Cancellation of Annual Event |

Affordable art from Ealing artists to be sold online
The 2020 Borough of Ealing Art Trial (BEAT) has had to be cancelled for reasons which will be obvious. Since its inception in 2016 the event has provided an opportunity for local artists to show case their work in their studios and homes. It was popular with borough residents keen on affordable art and brought in income for the creative sector which has been particularly hard hit by the pandemic. To fill the gap an on-line silent auction is to be held to enable BEAT’s supporters to still experience the variety of work created by Ealing artists. Between 5 and 13 September, you will be able log in to the BEAT 2020 on-line auction site register to bid, browse the site and buy some original artwork. You don’t have to wait until 5 September to view what’s on offer, the lots which will be for sale are available to view right now. BEAT artists are donating a percentage of their auction receipts to Ealing Food Bank and, at the same time, making a contribution toward BEAT’s own fundraising. The organisers say they hope by holding this on-line silent auction as an alternative event during the pandemic, they will ensure that BEAT’s popular reputation is maintained and that both artists and the public are able to benefit from the experience. More of the work of BEAT artist can be seen on this page.
