Local resident Shappi Khorsandi doesn't have far to travel

In the upstairs room at the Viaduct on Uxbridge Rd, Bearcat Comedy already has a great line up of the UK’s top comedians including Shappi Khorsandi, Otiz Canneloni, Romesh Ranganathan, & Mitch Benn.

The new landlord at the Viaduct, Sundar Uru, said “I wanted to do something new and different here and asked the regulars what they’d like. They said there was a comedy club here years ago, so I decided to bring it back”

The room holds around 100 (though some might have to stand) entrance is £15 for members, £13 for non members – the £2 membership fee is a one off – and not being charged in September.

James Bearcat In charge, he told me “After a gap of 17 years Hanwell deserves a good comedy club - I will endeavour to bring the best of the national comedy circuit to the Viaduct and some overseas visitors from time to time too.”

Tickets are already going like proverbial hot cakes with opening night on September 5th sold out. James who already runs a successful comedy club in Twickenham, is incorporating an ‘Open Spot’ each week when budding comics can have a 5 minute spot. “I am very hopeful of seeing some local talent having a go,” said James.
