Best selling author Liz Pichon who writes the children's series Tom Gates will be helping youngsters at a Greenford primary school try and beat a world record today.

Liz's new book is out this month and focuses heavily on music, dancing and Tom's first disco. To celebrate its launch pupils from Horsenden Primary will be endeavouring to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘largest disco dance’ with the most number of children doing a synchronised disco dance at one time.

Liz is extremely passionate about her struggles with dyslexia and developed her distinctive style of books (crammed with doodles and illustrative text) to help millions of reluctant readers across the globe to discover a love of reading for the first time.

Tom scribbles the world from his point of view, with each page an devoted to hand-written rants, funny stories and dynamic cartoons.

Earlier this year, Liz was the official 2017 World Book Day illustrator and it's recently been announced that there will be a TV series.

The event will take place between 1.30-2.30pm on Horsenden Lane North, Greenford, UB6 0PB.
