Hanwell based local community radio station Westside 89.6FM put a smile on the faces of children when they donated Easter eggs to the Jacks Place ward at Northwick Park hospital.

Westside made an appeal on-air and across their social media platforms for listeners to donate eggs for the visit. The response was overwhelming from the local community. Alongside donations from the public, the donators also included Moo Free Chocolate (vegan chocolate company), Tesco in Hayes, Costco in Hayes and Thakers restaurant in Hounslow.

Station Manger, Sone Palda said: ''We’d like to thank all of our listeners and the local businesses for their kind generosity in making this happen. We feel very happy that we have been able to spread a little joy to children staying in hospital over Easter time’.

Gemma Place, Play worker on the Jacks Place ward said “We would like to thank Westside Radio for the massive amount of Easter eggs that they donated to Jacks Place children’s ward at Northwick Park hospital. This meant that all the children who were unfortunately on the ward over Easter received an egg to enjoy which brought a smile to their faces”.
