Travellers who had moved onto the former King Fahd school site in Northfields have been moved on.

The school on Little Ealing Lane is under redevelopment and is to be the new home for Ealing Fields High School, under the umbrella of the Twyford Academy Trust, but is currently the responsibility of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) who are an arm of the Dept for Education.

It's believed travellers broke in on Sunday night and Northfield Councillors alerted the police and ESFA who instructed bailiffs and initiated the removal process.

This morning (5/12) Councillor David Millican said: '' I’ve just spoken with our local Northfields Police and been told that the travellers have now gone. I will head there shortly.  I’m pleased that the prompt action by the new school’s management, the Education & Skills Funding Agency and the police dealt with it so promptly. I’ll be asking lots of questions to ensure that the site is made more secure, so this doesn’t happen again. ''
