British Trasnport Police say two teenagers have been voluntarily interviewed over an alleged assault at Ealing Broadway in February.

Phil Poole was returning on the GWR train from Reading with his partner Zbynek Zatloukal after a Valentine's meal. The pair had missed their stop after falling asleep and around five men boarded the service to London Paddington and allegedly started making homophobic comments.

The incident happened at around 1.05am on 15 February on the Reading to London Paddington service, just before the train stopped at Ealing Broadway.

When they woke up they found they were being attacked. A group of men were punching and kicking them repeatedly. They attempted to get away but the offenders followed and continued to attack them during a prolonged assault. Their attacker got off the train at Ealing Broadway and left the station. Mr Zatloukal sustained head injuries including cuts and bruises and was knocked unconscious. Mr Poole had his front teeth knocked out. Both required hospital treatment. Mr Poole says the attack has left him with sleeping problems and flashbacks.

Following a police appeal, a 16-year-old boy from Hounslow and a 17-year-old boy from Uxbridge have contacted police and been voluntarily interviewed and reported for assault.

Police are continuing to appeal for information regarding two other men and officers would like to speak to them in connection with the incident.
