A nineteen year old student from Ealing has been singled out as one to watch for the future after attracting the eye of the top fashionistas in the magazine Vogue.

Tarun Nijjer, who is on the books for D1models, opened and closed the London Fashion Week show for Burberry and says he never expected it would make quite such an impact.

The 19 year old whose mother is English and father from the Punjab is now studying English at Bristol University.

He recently spoke to Ealing Today:

Where in Ealing are you from?

I live about a five minute walk from Ealing Broadway station, near the cricket club.

Which school did you go to?

I went to Durston House School until I was 13 and then St. Pauls School, Barnes until 18.

How are you enjoying your new found fame?

I wouldn't call it fame quite yet! But I'm loving the opportunities that are coming as a result of the Burberry show, I never would have expected such a reaction.

What do you like most/least about the job?

Most: I've met some really nice people so far from all over the world (as well as getting a free haircut).
Least: the early wake ups for work which contrast strongly with the time  I wake up at university.

Do you have any advice for others who want to follow in your wake?

Just enjoy the moments where everything goes to plan and don't take it too seriously.
