Two deserving dads from local charity, The Log Cabin have been surprised with a special Father’s Day gift from the Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre.

The Log Cabin is an after school programme that works with children and young people with additional needs.

It nominated Michael Dairo, a seasonal playworker at The Log Cabin, and Alexander Schmidt, a father whose son benefits from the centre, for the extra effort they commit to their children and The Log Cabin users.

On the evening of Monday 16th June the dads were presented with SuperDad t-shirts and vouchers tospend at M&S and Turtle Bay.

The giveaway is part of the Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre’s commitment to local charities, which has become even more prevalent this year as the centre celebrates 30 years. This year the centre is working alongside different local charities each month through partnership activities and fundraising initiatives.

Vivien Dymock, fundraising manager for The Log Cabin, said:

''We couldn’t have selected a more deserving pair of dads. Michael and Alexander always go above and beyond for The Log Cabin, helping out with various fun days and fundraising events. They always put the needs of their children and others ahead of their own. They absolutely deserve this recognition and a little treat all to themselves this Father’s Day!''
