There was a heavy police presence and a road sealed off in South Ealing yesterday evening due to a stabbing.

Witnesses on social media reported seeing a man dressed only in underwear pushed out of a car. Others reported a group of men with dogs near South Ealing station and local speculation was it might have been a 'gang' related incident

Police say, ''Police were called at 16:50hrs on Thursday, 9 November, to reports of an assault in Maple Grove, W5, near the junction with Sunderland Road.Officers attended the location and found a man suffering stab injuries to his leg.

The 23-year-old man was taken to hospital. We await an update as to his condition, which is not believed to be life-threatening. Detectives from Ealing CID are investigating. There has been no arrest at this stage.''
