A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed in a park in Greenford.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened on Saturday, 16 August around 16:00hrs in Oldfield Recreation Ground, Greenford Road, Greenford.

The victim, was sitting on the bench in the park with his friend when he was approached by a group of around seven youths and attacked. The victim was punched and kicked and stabbed in the leg.

The suspects ran out of the park via the exit on Greenford Road.

The victim was taken to a central London hospital. His injuries were not life threatening and he has since been discharged.

No arrests have been made.

Enquiries are continuing.
