Spend local scheme launched to help traders and residents

The banners are up throughout the borough and many local businesses, including EalingToday.co.uk are involed.

Spend Local is a new campaign aimed at getting us all to think local, choose local & spend local. Vouchers, offers and discounts are available from a variety of outlets.

There's a huge amount on offer in different categories including half price meals at Bella Pasta on the Broadway, a free day pass for swim and gym at Gurnell Leisure Centre, Ruislip Road East, along with cheaper dry cleaning, mini-cabs financial services and more.

Council Leader, Councillor Jason Stacey, said:

“We know the last few months have been financially difficult both for local residents and businesses. That is why we have been working with traders to launch the Spend Local scheme to let shoppers know about special offers and discounts in their area in the run up to Christmas.''

Next month will see the council paying £50 cashback to more than 122,000 council tax paying households.  It's hoped residents will spend the money in Ealing and shop locally for Christmas.

Council car parks will be free every weekend in December to give shoppers a little extra incentive to stay in or visit the borough.
