Ealing Council's urging residents concerned about the Southall Waterside development to attend a public meeting and voice their worries.

It follows complaints from locals living near the former gas works site - which is set to see 3,750 homes being built for 10,000 people.

Residents say they have suffered headaches, breathing problems and noticed a persistent petrol smell in the air. Clean Air for Southall & Hayes (CASH) want developers Berkeley to explain what is being done to alleviate their major health concerns.

The first meeting will be a public drop-in session from 3.00 to 6.00pm on 10th July with representatives from Ealing Council, Public Health England and the Environment Agency who will be on hand to answer questions.

A panel style public meeting will take place from 6.30 to 8.00pm with councillors, council officers, and representatives from Public Health England, the Environment Agency and Berkeley Group who will take questions from attendees.

The coincil say they ''encourage residents to come along to meet representatives from the council and the agencies to ask questions about the works taking place in and around the Southall Waterside Development.''

Both meetings will take place at the Southall Dominion Centre, 112 The Green, Southall, UB2 4QB.

In order for the council to investigate your concerns in a timely manner, please report any nuisance to the Council’s Response Service on 020 8825 8111.
