Man and Woman killed in Southall Road Accident

Happened on Featherstone Road Saturday afternoon

An elderly pedestrian and a man riding a moped have been killed in a road traffic collision in Southall.

Police and London Ambulance Service were called to Featherstone Road, Southall at 3:22pm on Saturday, 12 December, to reports of an accident.

Upon arrival officers found the pedestrian, a woman aged in her seventies, and the rider of the moped, a man aged in his twenties, suffering from critical injuries. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed.

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.

Officers identified a number of witnesses at the scene and are satisfied that no other vehicle or person was involved in the collision.

An inquest and post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
