A major music festival due to take place in Dean Gardens, West Ealing had to be cancelled after man alleged he was violently assaulted in the early hours.

Police were called at approximately 05:20hrs on Saturday, 12 September to reports of a man suffering a head injury. The man, aged 20, alleged he was assaulted in Dean Gardens, W13. He was taken to hospital for treatment; his injury is not thought to be life threatening.

A man aged in his mid-20s has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody at a west London police station.

Sounbite organisers say:

We are sad to report that due to an incident overnight, Dean Gardens is currently a police crime scene.

For this reason we must CANCEL today’s Soundbite Festival.We would like to thank everyone involved in the planning of the festival for their hard work and we are sorry that it is unable to go ahead.
