Suspect Package at Hanwell  Sorting Office

Police and ambulance are attending a major incident at Hanwell sorting office this morning.

Cambridge Road has been sealed off and police are dealing with a 'suspect package' incident.

A police spokesperson said, "Police were called at 07:41hrs on Thursday, 15 March to reports of a suspicious package at Hanwell Sorting Office, in Edinburgh Road.

''Specialist officers attended and the package is being assessed.

''London Ambulance Service attended and three people are being treated at the scene as a precaution.

"Road closures are in place while emergency services deal.

''Enquiries continue.''

Police say the incident is now 'stood down (9.40am).
