Adam Alexander aka The Seed Detective will be holding a special talk in Hanwell later this month.

'Seed Saving Made Simple' is an illustrated guide to saving all sorts of vegetables which might otherwise disappear. Now is a good time to be identifying good specimens of beans, peas, tomatoes, peppers and not picking them but allowing them to fully ripen.

The talk is the second of a series of occasional talks hosted by the Billets Hart Allotments and will be at the William Hobbayne Hall in St Dunstan’s Rd, Hanwell on Friday 29 September.

For a small donation, Adam will also make available some seeds/beans from his own heritage collection

An interesting video is available on Youtube. Simply search “Adventures of The Seed Detective”

The doors will open at 7pm and tickets include a glass of wine (or soft drink) and nibbles with the talk starting at 7.30pm. The talk is about an hour long and will be followed by a Q & A after which, for a donation, more wine will be available.

Tickets are £10 and available by contacting allotmentstephen@gmail.com or text 07970 868116. Payment by cash or Paypal.
