There was a treat for train spotters and other vintage lovers in Hanwell on Monday as The Flying Scotsman steamed through the station.

The train makes regular day trips throughout the country as well as longer tours of the UK.

It passed through Hanwell station about 4.30pm and these atmospheric images were captured by Hanwell photographer Liz Jenner.

The Scarborough Flyer will be steam hauled by The Flying Scotsman from the East Coast seaside town and will make its way through Malton, York, Doncaster and Lincoln before arriving at Ealing Broadway Station at 14.45, leaving the station at 17.10 on Saturday June 23rd.
