Former Ealing music student, Samantha Stevens is hoping to get her green card and see her name in lights on a big stage in the Big Apple.

After graduating with a first class honours degree in Musical Theatre from at London College of Music in 2012 she took part in many performances at The Rose and Crown pub in South Ealing, and, as a keen member of Questors played the Princess in the 2013 Panto Aladdin.

She also formed the all girl singing group The Buttercups who perfomed throughout Ealing and beyond.

After securing a highly competitive place at AMDA (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy) Samantha graduated in June 2018 and has been working on various musical shows since.

Parody musical The Handmaids Tale sold out and is now being developed for an Off-Broadway run in the fall of 2019.

Samantha says '' I fell in love with Ealing the day I came to audition for LCM. The town is beautiful, and the sense of community was really strong. I have made friends for life in Ealing, and it was my home away from where I grew up in the Midlands

'' I hope to continue working as an Artist in the USA. The message of Female Empowerment through The Handmaids is really relevant right across the world, but predominantly for America right now. I hope it continues to play across the country, and who knows ... maybe even come to London for a bit too!''

She'll be back in Ealing over Summer and wants to perform for friends and family who've supported her journey so far.
