A cash-in-transit guard delivering money to Sainsbury's in Northfields has been slightly injured during a robbery this morning.

Police were called at 07:52hrs to reports from Sainsbury’s Local, Northfield Avenue, W5.

The cash point at the venue was being replenished when a cash-in-transit guard was attacked by two men and a cash box was stolen.

The two men then made off in a small light coloured hatchback car. The guard suffered slight injuries which did not require treatment.

Both suspects are described as dark skinned, medium build and approx. 6ft in height.
