Two Injured After Separate Road Collisions in Pitshanger

Congestion and gridlock as emergency services dealt with incidents

Traffic was gridlocked around Pitshanger and North Ealing last night following two separate road accidents.

In the first witnesses say a school boy was knocked down on the Argyle Road as he ran from one bus stop to another.

Police say: ''Police were called at 17:07hrs on Wednesday, 18 October to reports of a pedestrian in collision with a car on Argyle Road, W13. Officers and London ambulance service attended the scene. A boy was taken to a West London hospital with a leg injury where he remains. His injuries were later confirmed as non life threatening or changing.''

Later that night there was another collision involving a truck and a car. It happened around 7.15pm near the junction with Ruislip Road East.

Police say a man in his thirties was injured.
