If you like colourful, fragrant and tasty thai food then you won't have to look too far in Ealing.

The latest eaterie to open in the centre, Opposite Haven Green formerly Fat Boys Thai, is Rosa's Thai Cafe.

Last week we were invited to sample some of the dishes and immediately struck by how beautifully presented they were.

In contrast the restaurant decor is very simple, perhaps a good move as all attention is on the main event - the food.

All the old familiars are available, with some house specials, and staff were helpful when dealing with different diets, allergies and intolerances.

Portions are large so I'd advise get any remains boxed up and take home, always a good move I reckon, and the food is just as delicious the next day.

Founded by Thai-born home chef Saiphin Moore and her husband Alex, Rosa’s Thai Cafe started in the East-End originally as a street stall on London's Brick Lane.

In the summer of 2008 the couple bought an iconic old caff named ‘Rosa’s’ on Hanbury Street, Spitalfields and the very first permanent Rosa’s restaurant site was born.

The couple kept the name ‘Rosa’s Cafe’ as a nod to English tradition and heritage - and also apparently because they didn’t have the money to change the sign, so the name's stuck.

In 2009, the husband and wife team sold their house in Hong Kong to fund the launch of a second Rosa’s on Dean Street in Soho - which has since become one of their busiest sites.

And now they're in Ealing!

We wish them every success.
