'Remains' Found in Hanwell Cemetery Are Animal

During search on Sunday police dog discovered animal bone

Detectives say the 'remains' found at a cemetery in Hanwell are of an animal.

They say:

'' As part of the on-going search for missing teenager Alice Gross, a police dog was deployed to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Cemetery, Uxbridge Road, Hanwell, W7, on Sunday, 7 September.

''The search was not as a result of any specific information received.

''The use of a police dog is the most effective way to search a large open area.

''During the search the dog found what has been identified as an animal bone.

''The search concluded on Monday, 8 September.''
