The Old Priorians kept up their pursuit of Twickenham with an 88-0 victory against Hemel Hempstead on the stunning pitch at Royal Holloway University. The Old Priorians started quickly, putting plenty of pressure on Hemel which resulted in early points through a Jack Dever try.

The OPs withstood some strong running from Hemel, particularly their impressive 12, and soon cut loose with tries from Jack Dever, Joe Codrington, George Majstorovic and Mikey Wade contributing to a 48-0 half time lead.

The sunshine and open attacking play slowed down the OPs slightly in the second half though they did add a further 40 points. The game finished with Jack Dever scoring 5, Joe Codrington 3 and Dave Haston also added a second half brace as well as an impressive try by James Booth.

Booth also added 9 conversions. The big pitch and OP style of play was far too much for Hemel to handle though they contributed gamely. The win will give the OPs plenty of confidence as their next fixture is away to table toppers Twickenham in a must-win game for the Ealing side.
