Saturday saw the Old Priorians continue their run in the National Cup with a 28-12 victory over Rochford Hundred. With Rochford unbeaten in 2014, the OPs knew they were in for a tough game, but with the conditions suited for running rugby, the OPs from the start continued to move the ball out wide stretching Rochford's defence. Knowing that only a win was needed, the OPs took their first opportunity for points with James Booth kicking a penalty within the opening 5 minutes. The following half an hour of the first half saw the OPs continually pressuring Rochford's tryline, and in spite of the OPs lack of clinicalness the pressure was too much, as Myles Stringer and George Majstorovic went over to finish off two well worked try.

Heading into the break 13-0 up, the OPs knew the first 10 minutes of the second half was going to be crusial in deciding the outcome of the match. With some great territory kicking from Jack Dever and Edd Conway, Rochford found themselves again defending thier tryline, only for Edd Conway and Andrew Wilkie to go over extending the OPs lead. Rochford did add to their early second half try right at the end, however it was little too late for the London 2 North East side. This now puts the Old Priorians into the divisional final, which will be played on Saturday the 15th of March away to Guilford RFC.
