Roads closed and fire service and ambulance attended due to suspect substances

Roads were closed and diversions in operation this morning (Thursday 19th) as Police conducted an early morning raid on a property in Hanwell.

Officers from Ealing carried out a search warrant at a residential address in Church Road, W7, in the early hours of this Thursday morning, 19 October, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Police say roads were closed in the surrounding area as a precaution due to the substances suspected to be involved.

London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service were also in attendance.

An email sent out by Elthorne Safer Neighbourhoods Team this morning reads:

''The team working with Ealing gangs team & North West TSG, and with the support of our partner agencies Ealing Council, London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service executed a drug search warrant in the early hours of this morning and closed a drug manufacturing laboratory on Church Road, Hanwell, W7. One male has been arrested for drug offences.

''If you are aware of any information with regards to any drug activity in your area, then please give a call on the numbers below or alternatively you can call the crime stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.''
