Two police officers and the driver of another car have been taken to hospital after a car crash on the Uxbridge Road near Ealing Common last night.

Emergency services were called to the scene at the junction with Gunnersbury Avenue shortly after 8.15pm.

The police car had been responding to an emergency call and a witness on this website said it had been travelling at speed when it was in collision with the other vehicle.

Ealing Councillor, Gary Malcolm, was in the area and saw the aftermath of the accident. He said:

"I have never seen so many police vehicles at the site of a car accident. I hope those involved are okay."

The three people injured have been taken to At Mary's hospital where they are said to be in a stable condition.

The Director of Professional Standards has been informed.
