Police who dealt with a violent domestic incident in Northolt have been commended.

In February 2017 Pc Exworthy and Yucesoy were called to a disturbance in the area. They spoke to a man at the address who was adamant that nothing had happened.

The officers were not convinced and searched the property where they found a badly injured woman cowering in a cupboard.

Despite his protests the man was arrested for GBH.

Pc Yucesoy built a rapport with the victim and secured 23 images of injuries as well as a metal pole and wooden dustpan brush used in the attack. The man was convicted of 8 violent offences and sentenced to 6 years imprisonment.

Pc Evans, Exworthy and Yucesoy have been presented with a BCU Commanders Commendation of supporting a victim of domestic assault, professionalism and bringing a violent offender to justice.
