Was in Walpole Park in ... the fifties (?)

This great old photo has been sent all the way from Australia by former Ealing resident Connie Sullivan.

She says it's thought Laura - who was based at Walpole Park and had learnt to say 'Laura'- lived to the ripe old age of 100.

Connie says a friend from her class at Grange school (1956) sent her the photo which was from a postcard.

It's thought Laura died some years back after an attempted break in of the cage with another bird 'Cocky' - a cockatiel.

Does anyone remember or know anymore?
