Letters have been sent out to residents of Overdale Road in Northfields by landowners who are planning to demolish garages and change the use to storage facilities.

The disused site has been the scene of flytipping in the past.

Local Councillor David Millican has circulated the information to ensure everyone is aware of the plans.

The letter reads as below:

JSP Properties own the land at the rear of 6 to 64 Overdale Road. I know that many of you will have been concerned at the condition of the garages which occupy the main part of the site and the issues of fly tipping which have been a significant problem recently. In order to resolve this, we are proposing to demolish the existing garages and then clear and secure the site. We will then be able to use the land for external storage. This will ensure the site is properly occupied and secured to prevent the fly tipping problem. The area we are talking about is shown coloured blue in the plan (above)

Prior to this we are applying for a Certificate of Lawful Development to Ealing Council setting out that the site has been used for external storage for more than ten years. We wanted to let you know about this ahead of any consultation the Council may undertake as part of the application. If you have any questions regarding this please email our planning consultants, Solve Planning Limited, using the following email: info@solveplanning.co.uk I hope that this will provide reassurance that we are looking to ensure the land is properly managed and to prevent further anti-social behaviour.
