Thames Valley University runs a clinic to support the training of students on the degree programme in Nutritional Therapy, a complementary therapy that uses nutrition and dietary change to improve health.

Final year students give free consultations to members of the public. The students are at all times supervised by tutors who are qualified nutritional therapists. The clinic is currently looking for people who would like to come to the clinic in July or August for a free consultation.

After booking an appointment, clients will be sent a health and diet questionnaire to complete and bring along to the appointment.

During the consultation, the client will discuss his/her health concerns, medical history and current diet with the student practitioner. The consultation will be supervised by a qualified nutritional therapist and there may also be a small number of students observing. The client will be given a written dietary programme to take away. Depending on the individual case, supplement recommendations may also be given. All of the personal details of the client will be strictly confidential.

The clinic is based at Paragon House on Boston Manor Road, Brentford, TW8 9GA.

Appointments are available on 1st July, 5th July, 15th July, 19th July, 26th July, 29th July, 2nd August and 5th August at 9.15, 11.30 or 2.45pm.

Clients should expect to be at the University for 2 hours in total. For more information, or to book an appointment, please contact Annabel on nutrition@tvu.ac.uk or phone 020 8209 4421.
